Foul Drainage Reports
The foul drainage report is used to investigate existing system(s) on site. The report states all sewage treatment elements on site and sets out the system process. The functionality and legality of the system regarding Building Regulations and the Environment Agency is stated, and where necessary future improvements are recommended and budget figures given.
The report can be commissioned whilst purchasing a new home or property when it is vital to ensure the property has an adequate and legal drainage system. All too often such necessities are overlooked and once the contracts are exchanged and completed it can be too late to recoup costs if the existing foul system is illegal, inadequately sized, failing or not present (yes, it does happen!).
The report can also help support or resolve legal matters such as incorrectly installed tankage, drains laid without fall or under sized systems.
